Subject: it's funny because he's fat!
Hello family. How are you all this week? I’m doing good. Mom yes I got your email. But it was from June so I don’t know why it’s so old. But I got it so now you can’t say that I didn’t tell you. So we have doing a lot of church tours. We have been doing them with active members we want to be doing them with investigators but we take what we can get. We want the members to think of people that would be interested in having one. It’s starting to work. We are having some members come and tell us that they have some people that want to go on one. So that is sweet. But we had a good week. We taught 22 lessons and had 10 church tours. It’s good stuff. This week we had interviews with our mission prez. They were very good. They were longer than normal. I don’t know why. So one thing that happened this week that was cool. Was we went to this In-active lady’s house to teach her. She is super old and has care takers that live with her. So we were trying to talk to her but because she was so old there wasn’t a whole lot of talking. But we started talking to her care taker and started teaching her the 1st lesson. But as we taught her she said she didn’t get it. So I started asking Q’s like “have you had a hard life and because of it you think there is no God?” and she said yes. Then I asked “so because of that you think that why would God let bad things happen to people?” she said yes. That’s when I bore my testimony to her and told her the things I know to be true. Then we asked if we could teach her more and she said yes. So we hope that we can teach her more. We will see. So the elders Quorum had a BBQ at this park. It was so HOT and HUMID. No one that was there wanted to do anything. We sweat so much. It was still fun but it could have been more fun. One thing that was good was this Sunday we had 2 investigators come to church and 5 nonmembers. And we are going to teach them all. How sweet is that? But with transfers coming up I don’t know what’s going to happen. I think I’m leaving. But until it happens I wont know. Transfers are this week. So I’ll let you know what happens. Oh there is a member here that is going to go to Las Vegas soon and he said he would say hi for me. So that might happen. His name is Brother Whipple. He is a nice guy. I don’t know him to well. Oh that jacket I sent you was from my 2nd area. I didn’t have room for it so I sent it home. I hope you liked my pictures. Well I can’t think of any thing else to write so I will talk to you all later. I love you all and miss you all.

Subject: old guys can't drive.
Hello family. How are you all? I’m doing well. Things are still moving forward here. We had some interesting stuff happen this week. So we have been trying to get a hold of this referral forever his name is Chad Gray. So we saw him like 3 weeks ago but we hadn’t gotten a hold of him since then. There was a baptism 2 Saturdays ago and the member who knows him asked him to come to the baptism and he came. That was cool. Than we had dinner with this other member (he is the one who asked us to go see him) and he asked him to come to dinner. I guess that Chad has a thing for this member girl and she came to the dinner too. So we taught him the 2nd lesson. I don’t know if he got much out of it he wasn’t as involved as he should have been. Than we found out that he thinks that all organized religion is bad. But he was invited to go to church and he came. But I don’t think he got much out of it. I don’t think he is doing this for himself. We just need him to feel the spirit in a very strong way. I hope we can do that for him. Well that’s Chad. Than something else that happened this week that was different was we went to see this less active lady in this apt complex and while we were waiting for her to come down to the lobby where we were this older lady was like “Are you all Mormon?” and we said yes. Than she said “well where is your church?” so we told her were it is. Than she said “Well my grandson found one of your Mormon bibles and has been reading it and is interested in your church.” So than we gave her some stuff to give to him and she said well if your still here I’ll see if he wants to come down to talk to you. So we were like sweet! So then the lady we were waiting on came down and we had our appointment with her but in the middle Griffin (the grandson. He is 13) came down and gave us his phone# and said to call when we were done. So we did. And he and his grandma came down and we asked if we could start teaching him. And they said yes. So we started teaching him. Half way through the lesson our phone rang but we don’t answer our phone while we are teaching because it rude. But the person called 2 times. But we just kept teaching and just as we got to the restoration this lady came around the corner and said “Griffin lets go! I’m his mother and I have been calling you and you have no permission to be teaching my son!” like we knew that we didn’t have permission. We thought that the grandma would be the permission. So we don’t know if we are going to get to teach him again. I hope that we do. So that was the craziest thing that happened this week. On Saturday we went to a funeral for one of the counselors for prez Van Komen. He died from cancer. It killed him in 4 months. It was a very good funeral. One thing that was good I got to see Elder Call. I found out that he is going home at the end of this transfer. It’s sad to hear that but I just hope he gets better. Well I can’t think of any thing else to write about so I will talk to you all later. I love you all and miss you all.

Subject: he ate how many cookies?!
what is he nut?! can't he read?!
Hello family! How are you all? I’m doing good. It’s good to see the new baby in the family. Sorry that I didn’t email until today. The liberty was closed and we had a lot of stuff to do on Tuesday. So things are going very well right now. 2 weeks ago we taught 23 lessons. Than this week we taught 24 lessons which is the most lessons I’ve taught on my mission. It’s so cool. But this week we aren’t going to get that many because we are doing this new thing were we giving church tours. We are right now giving them to active members. We can give them to nonmembers anytime but our prez wants us to give to members to make them think of some people that would be open to the idea. So that’s what we are doing try now. The tours don’t count as lessons. So that’s why we aren’t going to get that many lessons this week. We think this will help the missionary work so much. They said that taking people on church tours that have never been to our church that 80% would come to church that next Sunday. How sweet is that? One thing that happened that was pretty funny was I was I another car accident. Funny right? j/k but some did hit our car. We weren’t even in it when it happened. We were eating lunch at one of our member’s houses and his son got in his car and backed right in to our car. We didn’t care that it happened as long as our car would still run. It just put a big dent in the bumper. Then like 2 hours later the dent was gone. It still was scraped up. So we thought it was funny. The son of the member wasn’t happy. He had a nice mustang that his parents got that was ALL JACKED UP. The kid is spoiled. He wasn’t very nice the whole time we were there. One thing that I got to do was play racquetball with one of our investigators. It was fun but he beat me. But he pulled a muscle. So we are even. We didn’t do much for the 4th. It no fun just watching fireworks, it way more fun lighting them. Well I can’t think of anything else to write about so I will talk to you all later. I love you and miss you all.

Hello family. How are you? I’m doing so good. We had a very good week. So we taught Lee Kruger again this week. And she asked a lot of questions. So it takes up most of the time we have with her to answer her questions. But it’s still good. We are planning on moving her baptism date to some time in August. So we hope that will work out. She came to church this week too. She couldn’t stay for all of church but she said that next week she would stay for all of it. So that will be good. So we taught Kelvin this week also. We had a very good lesson with him. We read King Benjamin’s address. He loved it. He loved the idea of a king that work with and for the people. So at the end of the lesson he said “I want to step it up and have you guys come over again this week.” So I asked him to do me favor. And he said “let me guess you want me to come to church?” and I said yes. (The missionaries have been teaching him seen October and he had yet to go to church.) Than he said Ok I promise to come to church this week. So we got a team up to go with us to see him on our next appointment. So as we are driving to his house he calls me and say “I’m way to busy and I gets don’t have the time to see you guys today.” So I kept talking to him as we still were driving to his house. Than when he saw us he said “ok only 10 min.” so we got out and started talking to him and made sure he was going to be at church. So I wasn’t sure if he was going to come to church. But one of our team ups saw him in the parking lot and came and told us. So Elder Fleming went out to get him. So he finally came to church and he loved it! He asked us to play racquetball with him to day so we are going to call him and see if we can. I’m going to get him baptized. He knows the church is true. So that was one of the big things that happened this week. Anther thing that happened was we had an appointment with a less Active member. He wasn’t there. So we went to our next appointment early. We talked with brother Worthington outside for a little bit (who is also L.A.) and this lady walking down the road walked past us then turned around and asked “are you Jehovah’s witnesses” then we were like heck no. I’m j/k we didn’t say that. I wanted to. But we were like no we are LDS. And she asked if we had something to give her and we said yes we do. So if our other appointment would have been there we would have never met her. We haven’t seen her after that but she might join later in life. We don’t know but back to brother Worthington. He is deaf and can read lips but the out side of his house smelled so badly. We were glad that he wanted to talk to us outside. Than we had to ask about his kids and he was like come on in and meet them. His house was so scary. It was dark and there were all these animal cages and it smelled bad and there were and these people there. It was also super dirty. It wasn’t fun. But the other really good thing that happened this week was that we now have Cathy Hanson with a date. It’s in September but it’s better than nothing. She wants to move it forward but until we can find out about conmen law marriage we can’t move it forward. So we hope it will work out. One last thing we taught 23 lessons this week. That’s the most I have ever taught in one week. That was sweet. Well I can’t think of anything else to write about so I will talk to you all later. I love you all and miss you all!
