Subject: who says that dummies can't dacne?!

Hello family. It’s me elder scoble. How are all of you this week? I’m good. This week was slow I think it’s because of Christmas. This time of the year is hard for mission work you would think that it would be easier because it Christmas time everyone should be think about Christ. But people are soooo busy that people just don’t have time for us. So we are working hard to find some new people to teach. We haven’t seen the investigators we do have the last few weeks. So we have started try to get ahold of them a lot sooner this week I the hopes of caching them home or something that. But we did have a fun week. We had zone conference this week and it was a special Christmas one. They did one like this last year and it was pretty good. They have some missionaries play music and sing songs. It was very good. We also had our ward Christmas party. We helped set up all the stuff. They also had the talent show and elder Aydelotte and I were in it. We did the dummy dance. But we did it missionary style. I made a dummy out of the things I found in the apt. we only had to buy like 3 things that we did have. We made up the dance the night before the show. We also didn’t use the song that you would normally do the dance to. Elder Aydelotte had this song that we did the dance to. The ward like it a lot. I got someone to record it so you can see what we did. Everybody told us how much they liked it. We named the dummy elder Clayton because he was in this area for like 10 months. So we thought everyone would remember him. One thing that we did this week was we helped put up a ham radio antenna. That was a first for me. The lady we were helping put it up had the way she wanted it put up all in her mind and at first I had no idea what she was talking about. But after 4 hours of work we finally got it up. One thing was we don’t even know if it worked. She still and to plug it in the box thing and she didn’t do it while we were there. So it could have been all for nothing. But I don’t know what happen. Well I can’t think of anything else to write about so I will talk to you all later. I love you and miss you all so much.

Subject: that new car smell. i really don't like

the new car smell but the car was so nice.

Hello family,

How are all of you today? I’m good. I can tell that with the holidays it going to be hard trying to find new people to teach. But we try to find some new people. So we went to this part member family’s house this week and taught about the temple and it was a good lesson. We watched a DVD called between heaven and earth. It’s a good one. I like it a lot. But the lady that is a member talks way too much. But what can you do. We have a hard time teach with her around. So we helped a family move again. We already helped this family move nut this time we were just getting the rest of the stuff. They had sooo much stuff its crazy. People really need to down size there crap when they move. They moved some stuff that they most likely won’t be using any time soon. But we know they really need the help. We did get to ride in his new 2010 Mustang. It’s a super sweet car. I like it a lot. We also had stake conference this Sunday and it was funny. In the middle of the stake presidents talk the fire alarm went off. We sat there and waited for someone to turn it off. Some kid pulled it so it was no big deal. But it was funny. One of the members of our ward looked at me and said it wasn’t my kid. I could see one of her kids doing that. Well I can’t think of anything else to write about so I will talk to you all later. I love you and miss you sooo much.

Subject: i feel fat from all of the food!

Hello family,

How are all of you this week? I’m doing good. This was a good week for me. I got my new comp and I now know how to spell his name. it’s Elder Aydelotte. It sounds like ate a lot. He is nice and I think we will have fun. We put up our Christmas stuff last night and it was lot of fun. So for thanksgiving we went to the Cummins house and it was very good. They were getting ready to move this last weekend so it was a little crazy at their house. We helped paint their bathroom. But then after we had dinner there we went to the Feldmens house and had pie and played games. They sent mom a text while we were there. I don’t know if mom got it. So the next day we went over to the Cummins house to help them pack the truck to help them move. Pretty much brother Cummins and I moved all the stuff. Elder Aydelotte helped but not as much as brother Cummins and i. so it was a lot of big stuff. We helped them all day that day then we even helped the next day. They really needed the help so that’s why we went back. The thanked us by giving us a card and I didn’t know that in the card was $50. If I would have known that I might have found a way to give it back without them knowing. But they are gone now so I can’t do that. I’m going to miss that family. But we did get to teach Ashley again this week. She said she knows what we are teaching is true but they haven’t come to church. I’m need to find what’s stopping them from coming. I hope I can find it soon. I just turned in my pass port stuff today so it should be there in like 3 to 6 weeks they said. Well I can’t think of anything else to write about so I will talk to you all later. I love you all and miss you all.

Hello family. How are all of you this week? I’m good I found out about transfers this week. I’m staying here and elder Conover is leaving. My new comps name is elder Atealot. I think that’s how you spell it. I have met him once before and from what i can remember he is nice. I will meet him tomorrow. So I will let you know how he is in my next email. So this week we met with Ashley again this week and she is so solid. We taught her about the plan of salvation and she said that she new that the things we where teaching her were true. So we just need them to come to church and to get anther appointment and we will be golden. So that was a super sweet day. So we have been saying good bye to a lot of members for elder Conover. He is going to miss this area. I just want to remind dad to put the money on my card for the pass port. well I can’t think of any thing else to write about so I will talk to you later. Subject: a brand spanking new pooper for the family!

Hello family, how are all of you this week? I’m doing well. We had a good week this week. So on Tuesday we went to the prez’s home and they had this 4 hour meeting. It was a way good meeting. We just talked about the power of pray and Sister Van Koman talked about manners. I guess that some missionaries don’t act as well as they should. But it was good. So at the end of the meeting Elder Conover and I didn’t know what time the meeting ended so we were trying to get a hold of some members in our area to come and pick us up. We had no luck. So prez V.K. had left and there was only elder conover, me 2 other elders and Sister V.K. so when the other elders ride showed up Elder Conover and I were going to go outside to try to get ahold of someone. As we were going out the door sister V.K. asked if our ride was here and we said we were still trying to find one. So she said no just come back inside and I will give you a ride home. So we got to get a ride with the prez’s wife. She told us that we were the only elders that she has given a ride to without the Prez. So we are special. It was a fun ride home. So we taught Ashley Tuiono this week. We taught her once before. But this time we got to teach her the 1st lesson. It was good but it could have been better. I think that if she comes to church that that will help her feel the spirit. Then later that day we stopped by one of our investigators houses that we hadn’t seen in a long time and we found out that they are getting a divorce. Her husband I guess started drinking again and he is a mean drunk. So we aren’t teaching them. It sucks when things like this happen. But then we also saw this less active member and her nonmember husband. Their names are the Williamsons. They are nice but Sister Williamsons talks way to much! And she tries to teach her husband things about the church and she gets way to in-depth and some of it is not truth. So it is soooo hard to teach there. We aren’t sure what to do with that. So the funny thing we did this week is we helped put in a new crapper at the Marlers. It smelled sooo bad. Elder conover started to gag. So that why he didn’t help. Brother Marler and I put it in together. I like working with this like that but not the smelly ones. So that’s about it for what we did this week. So I will talk to you all later. I love you all and miss you all.

Subject: Mongolian BBQ is the best.

Hello family.

How are you all? I’m good this was a good week it was still a little slow but it was good one. So we were able to see Brother Demink this week to teach him about the temple. It was good the only thing that was bad was he didn’t come to church this Sunday. We don’t know why. We haven’t talk to him yet so we will see what happened. It’s the first time he has missed church seen he was baptized. I hope he keeps coming that would be good. We also saw some good families in the ward. The Marlers took me to B D’s Mongolian BBQ. I went there when I was here the first time. It was so good. I love the Marlers they are a sweet family. Then I helped this member with his Xbox 360. He didn’t know how to set up his online so I helped him do that. So see playing video games helped me on my mission. I know that they would come in handy. LOL. So my birthday was very good. I had two families make me cakes. They were both good. One family gave me $20 too. It was a lot of fun. I also bore my testimony in the singles ward. I talked about family and how important they are. Then after I did that all the testimonies after mine were about families. So I really liked that because I didn’t know what to say when I went up there. But that must have been what someone needed to hear. I’m glad I started that. So yes I got your package thank you soo much for it. I don’t think I needed the candy though. I will see if I can start getting my passport thing started. I’m not sure what all I need to do but I will start it. Sorry I haven’t written any one back for a while. I have been busy. I will try to write today if possible. Well I can’t think of anything else to write about. So I will talk to you all later. I love you all and miss you all later.

Subject: this is halloween! this is halloween!

Hello family,

How are you all? I’m good it’s the day after Halloween and it was a lot of fun. So we had some cool things happen this week. There is this guy that I was trying to see when I was here a year and a half ago and we had no luck then. But we tried to see him like 2 weeks ago and finally saw him. So I asked if there was a time that we could stop by and see him and his family. So we set up an appointment. The first one fell through. So we set one up for last Monday. We asked if we could get a team up and we got this new member of our ward to take us. We had only met Brother Reed once before he this time so we really didn’t know him. So we went to the appointment. The less active guy’s wife isn’t a member and so we were going to take the church stuff slow because we didn’t know how she was going to be about the church. We had been told in the pass that she wasn’t open to the church. So we just started talking to them to try to get to know them and we finally got them to open and be comfortable with us. So that she said that she had some things that she didn’t like about the church so I asked what they were. That’s when our member helped so much. He is a convert to the church so he was able to put every thing in her perspective. It helped so much. Brother Reed was a super sweet team up. So at the end of the lesson I asked if we could teach her about the church. She said we could come over once a month or something like that. So that’s a lot better then not coming by at all. So we hope that this is her time. So we had something like this happen again this week as well. We went to this less active part member family’s house just to talk to them and to see how they were doing and the husband was being taught by the missionaries in the pass but they said some things to him that pushed him away from the church. So we went over and talk for a little bit and we were going to go because his wife (the member) left just before we were going to go. So just as I was going to stand up he just started asking Q’s about the church. So we might start teaching him again. That would be nice. But the other things that have been happening this week were Halloween things. I made 2 jack-o-lanterns. My 1st one was sweet it was a wolf. I took pictures of it so you can see it. I didn’t take pictures of the 2nd one. But we went to the wards trunk or treat. Elder Conover and I were the chili judges. I don’t know if I ever want chili again. The next day was sooooo bad. The toilet was my friend. I dressed up as the C.I.A. witch is Christ In action. I thought that was pretty funny. But as for Halloween my comp and I passed out candy at a member’s house. That was fun. People don’t say thank you any more. How messed up is that. And the one last big thing we did this week was we went to the Deanna Rose farmstead to do some service. It was a lot of fun. We got to go all the way over to Overland Park to get to do that. Well I can’t think of any thing else to write about so I will talk to you all later. I love you all and miss you all.

Subject: talk about your bad lucky!

Hello family,

How are all of you? I’m good. This week was a little slow but we had some fun things happen. So on Monday we got a call from the AP’s asking us if we had room for anther missionary. So we told them we did. So they called us back and said that we were having a missionary come back to the mission and we just need him to stay some were until an area opened up for him to go. So that night prez Van Komen dropped off our new comp Elder Williams. So we were in a tripod for a week. We had fun while he was here. Elder Conover didn’t want the tripod to end. But there was a missionary that was in our mission that had some mental problems. So he was doing a mini mission. He was going to be in the mission for 3 months but he only made it a week. So Elder Williams went to that area to take his place. I think it was good of the elder who when home that he at leased he tried to sever a mission. It’s better that some people. So we had this different experience this week. So we went to try and set an appointment with one of the less active members we teach and she came to the door and said in a mad tone “to night is not a good night we will call you to set an appointment!” so we don’t know why she acted that way to us. I hope it wasn’t any thing we did. So we also had this other thing happen this week as well. We went to Sister Nobles house for Britney’s birthday. So Lisa was there (that’s Sister Nobles neighbor) and her son. We are trying to teach Lisa but it’s going slow. So she wanted us to meet her son because she said he is a lot like us. So I wasn’t going to talk about the church because I was invited to the party not to teach. So when Lisa introduced us to her son we started talking about stuff and then we got into talking about church stuff like I didn’t want to. So I guess Lisa son has had some bad things happen to him that have to do with religion. Some church brain washed him and he had some problems. So his mom started to get scared because she thought it might start doing the things he was doing with the other church. So I didn’t know all of this until after I had been talking to him about the church for a little bit. So Sister Nobles talk to Lisa about the whole thing so I hope it will all work out. Because of those to things this week was kind of crappy. But we hope things will start to pick up again. That would be good. Well I can’t thing of anything else to write about so I will talk to you all later. I love you all and miss you all so much.

Subject: Round 3.

Hello family,

How are all of you? I’m doing sweet. This was a good week for us. So about transfers I stayed here with Elder Conover. This is our 3rd transfer together. That doesn’t happen very often. I didn’t think we were going to stay together. Our whole zone got greenies all but 3 areas. We had 18 elders come in this transfer. That was one of the biggest groups we have ever had. Everyone said I was going to train. I’m glad I didn’t have to. We had a baptism this week. It was so good. Chad DeMink and his son were baptized. It was so sweet. Brother DeMink’s father in-law baptized him and his son and confirmed them. It was so good to see that happen. I hope that they can now set a goal to go to the temple as a family. That would be the next big step for them. So yesterday was fun for me. Not! So the primary prez asked him if we could do sharing time and he said yes. (She asked last week.) Then some one from Elders Quorum asked if we could teach the Elders Quorum. And he said yes to that too. He didn’t remember that we had been asked to do sharing time. And every Sundaywe have exchanges with the zone leaders. So who ever stays is by them self for the rest of church. So I had to go to sharing time 2 times and at the end of the 2nd time I had to go strait to the Elders Quorum to teach. I was so busy. Also at the 2nd sharing time the prez was having all of the kids that didn’t finish this thing go and do that. So I had 3 kids to talk to. That was awesome. Dad will be happy I think I have sold a family on Macs. I was telling them all the things they can do and that they are the best. So they were going to get one forChristmas. so we got one more from the dark side. Well I can’t think of any thing else to write about so I will talk to you all later. I love you all and miss you all.

Hello family,

How are all of you this week? I’m good this week was a little slow but it was a good week. So this week is transfers and I think one of us might be going. If I go I just want to come back to see the baptism for brother Demink. That’s want I want. So for brother Demink to get baptized he had to come to church 2 times. So he watched conference and that counts for one. So we need him to come this week so he would be baptized on the 16th. AND HE CAME!!!!! That made me so happy. We haven’t had an investigator at church in a long time. To it was good that he could come. So now he should be baptized this Saturday. His father in-law is going to be the one that baptize him. I also think he will confirm him too. So we had a surprise today in our bathroom. I think I found some mouse poop. So we had fun settingmouse traps all over our apt. I hope we get the little piece of crap. I hate things like that. Well mom asked what I had at Texas Roadhouse I had the country fried chicken. It was sooo good. I really like the Feldmens. They are a sweet family. We have some super sweet families in this ward. Well I can’t think of any thing else to write about. So I will talk to you all later. I love you and miss you so much.

Subject: You stupid COW!

Hello family,

How are all of you? I’m good. Things are going good with some of our investigators. Like Chad Demink. We invited him to be baptized and he said yes! How sweet is that? I asked him if he knew the things we were teaching him were true. So he said I feel all the things you have taught me are true, nothing feels wrong. So it was sweeeet! He will be baptized on the 16th of this month. As long as he comes to church this next Sunday he will be baptized. He hasn’t come to church seen we have been teaching him. But we did get to watch conference with him this week. It was good. From what I know he watched 4 of the 5 sessions. That’s way good. We watched all the sessions at a different members home for each one. It was crazy. So we may have a new investigator this week or next. This member that just got married to a nonmember and we taught her for the first time last week. I think she will be a good member. I think we can baptize her. The only thing that I’m not sure about is the member. His name is PJ and when we were teaching her he was like off in LA LA land. So I’m not sure what to think about that. One of our other investigators went to the hospital this week for high blood pressure. So we hope he is ok. We haven’t talked to them for a little bit. So we will see how they are. Well other than all of that not much happened this week. Mom I don’t know what I want in the care package I don’t what a lot of treats because I don’t need them. I told you what I need and at this time I don’t know of any thing else I need right now. So sorry. Oh I got my splint off last week. I didn’t go see a doctor and it most likely as strait as it’s going to get. Well I love you all and miss you all.

Subject: it's just like driving a golf cart.

Hello family. How are you all? I’m good. So this was a sweet week. So we took Chad Demink on a church tour and as soon as the church tour was over we went to the Independence Visitor center. It was sweet. We watched the Joseph Smith movie. That was sooo good. I cried like a baby. I think it helped him a lot with knowing that Joseph Smith was a prophet. Than after we watched that we went through God Plan for his family. That’s one of the things we can see at the I.V.C. that the sister that was taking us through it asked some good Q’s. He than told us that he thought that our Heavenly Father was telling him that the things we had been teaching him were true. It was sweet. But the time we were going to invite him to be baptized passed and there wasn’t a good moment after that. We also didn’t want to invite him to be baptized in the car that would have been weird. So this week when we see him again we are going to invite him to be baptized. I keep kicking myself in the butt for not inviting him at the I.V.C. I hope that it will all work out. He is soo ready for this it crazy. We will see him tomorrow. So we had interviews this week. They were so long. We start at about 8 am and end around 2 pm but this time they went to 4pm. So the things we had planed we had to cancel because they ran so long. But we were able to make up for that appointment the next day. We went to the member house and helped him move. Then later that day we also got to help work on a car. OK so I didn’t help work on the car I cut there grass. That was a lot of fun because they had a riding mower. That was a lot of fun. Well that’s about it for this week so I will talk to you all later. I love you and miss you all so much.

Subject: fiber one bars work. Holy Crap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello family,

How are all of you doing this sweet week? I’m doing amazing. We just had a baptism yesterday and it was a good one. Elder Conover baptized Britney McInnis. (That’s Britney Nobles) we found out that Britney was been adopted and so her name wasn’t Nobles. But it was a very good baptism. I got to do the confirmation. It was my first time getting to do that. It was so nerve racking. I also had to give a talk in sacrament meeting. That wasn’t fun. They didn’t give me a lot of notice. They called me 3 days before Sunday so I had to get it all together. I thought it was a good talk. We had this sweet experience this week. We went to one of our less active members that we go see all the time. His name is Brother David. So we got there and he was leaving as we got there. So he told us that we could talk to his daughter who is anti-god. So we went in and started talking to her and I think we made some good ground with her. She asked a lot of Q’s that a lot of investigators ask. So we taught her just like an investigator. At the end we asked her to say the closing pray. And she did witch I didn’t think she would. She said a very good pray too. We gave her a book of Mormon and asked her to read it. So we hope that she does it like we asked her to do it. I still don’t see why people like to think that when they die that that’s it! It drives me crazy. There is so much more. It’s nice when someone see what you are talking about. So this week we talked to our investigator Brother Demink. He was the one that was looking at the anti stuff. So we asked if he had gotten an answer and he could us that he thinks he still is looking at things to factual. So we are going to take him on a church tour this week and go to the visitor Center in Independence. So we hope that the Joseph Smith movie will help him. That would be sweet. So we hope that it will all work out for him. It would be so hard to see him get this far and fall away. It happens to often. That’s one of the hardest things on the mission. Well today Elder Conover is going to help our district leader with some thing so I’m going on an exchange today. So that is the most happening this week so far. Oh one last thing last night after the baptism we went to Sister Nobles for treats and her best friend was there who is not a member and so were teaching her with out her knowing that we were teaching her. We just started telling her about the mission and it just went from there. So we hope we can start teaching her soon that would be sweet. Well I can’t think of any thing else to write about so I will talk to you all later. I love you and miss you. Mom i don't need a watch any more i got a new one. i don't know what i want for treats. i need some slim fast r some thing to get my big booty in to shape. i just want my CTR ring the belt and the Kids Book of Mormon. if i could get that it would be sweet.

Subject: do you know how to use that thing?

Ya the pionty end goes into the other man.

Ho we have a long way to go.

Dear family and friends,

How are you all doing this week? I’m good. This week wasn’t not at all for us. My allergies were killing me. I could get any air through my nose at all. So than I got some bad headaches. So we didn’t get to do much. We also had a lot of people cancel appointments. It wasn’t good at all. So it was my bad that we didn’t get out and work. But this week is going to be different because I don’t care how I feel I’m going to go out and work. It might be fun but I’m tired of not doing anything. One thing that we did this week was we went over to a less active’s house to help her move some stuff around. So we bike to her place to help. It was good that she didn’t have a lot to move because I thought I was going to die just moving the thing we did move. We had to take it all apart too. But we than went over to this family’s house for dinner. They are the Cummings they are a sweet family. It’s a lot of fun going over to there house. But some thing happened that I may have started at their house. So they had some Nerf swords and so I picked one up and started to play with it. So there kids came over and started to fight with me. So they have 4 boys and they only had 4 Nerf swords. So one of there kids had made a sword out of some sticks and duct tape. So we were all fighting when the kid with the stick sword hit his 1 ½ year old brother in the eye with the stick. He didn’t mean to. The 1 ½ year old is at that height were every thing hits you in the head. So we thought he was ok he cried for a minute or 2 so we thought he was ok. Well come to find out they took him to the ER and he had some splinters in his eye. So they got then out and gave them some eye drops. They said he should be ok. So my bad for starting that. I’m not going to lie but the sword fighting was a lot of fun. But one good thing is we now have Britney set with a new date. She should be baptized this Saturday. So that should be good. One thing that might be hard is she isn’t comfortable with guys. I think she had a bad ex in the past with some guy or some thing like that. We don’t know what it was. But we hope that she like be able to find someone to baptize her that she feels comfortable with. So I don’t know what we are going to do if she can’t find someone. I’ll let you know what happens. Well I can’t think of any thing else to write a bout so I will talk to you all later. I love you all soo much and miss you all some much.

Hello family. How are all of you? I feel like crap! My allergies have been so bad. I now know that it’s not just cats I’m allergic to. A lot of people’s allergies have been bad. Last night I didn’t sleep because it them. But other than that I’m not bad. So we taught the Applegates again this week. It was a good lesson I’m happy we got to teach them again. We are going to take them on a church tour this week. That should be good. They should come to church after we do that with them. One of our other investigators named Markus broke his foot. I think I told you all that last email but this last week we gave him a blessing for it. I don’t know if we are going to keep teaching him because he is so hard to teach. He asks the crazy Q’s. We will see how that goes. One thing that happened that was super crazy was we went to play football with the ward and 2 guys totally crashed into each other. The one guy kick the ball in to the air and went to catch his own kick. But this other guy saw the kick and went to catch it as well. They both hit each other head to head. It sounded so bad. It even looked worse. The one guy had to get 26 stitches over his eye and it puffed up big time. The other guy broke his nose and had to get 16 stitches and broke the bone around his eye. It was pretty crazy. The funny thing about the whole thing was we hadn’t even started playing yet. So we all played a little slower than normal because of it. So some thing that happened yesterday was we went to teach one of our investigators and he had all this anti information. So we spent the whole lesson try tell him all truth comes from our heavenly father and he just needs to ask him if Joseph Smith is a Prophet. So we hope that he will. It was not cool to see stuff like that happen. But I think it will work out. Well I can’t think of any thing else to write about so I will talk to you all later. I love you all and miss you all.

Subject: i'm a movie star!!!!

Hello family. How are you? I’m doing good. So last week was a good week for us. One thing that we did this week was we went to see the family of one of the people I baptized here. We got to see them and one of there kids still hasn’t been baptized. So we were hoping that we could get them to come back to church so they could get him baptized. So I shared a short message to get them to start doing the small things to get them to come back to church. Than as we were leaving Jacob came up to me and said we need to set a date because I still want to get baptized. That made me sooo happy to hear that. So we are going to see them every week hopefully to get him baptized. One thing that happened to one of our investigators this week was he broke his foot. So that’s why he didn’t come to church last week. So we went by to give him a pie as a get better soon thing. He didn’t answer the door so we gave to his neighbors to give to him. I hope he gets it his neighbors are a little on the big side if you know what I mean. So we also got two new investigators this week. They are the Applegates. It’s a husband and a wife. She is a little more open to what we teach than he is. They have had a hard time. They lost a child and some other loved ones. So it’s been hard. We started to teach them about The Restoration and we felt it was better to teach The Plan of Salvation. It was good I just hope they got what they need to get out of it. One other thing that was super sweet. Was we took this less active member on a church tour just to get him in the building. So we taught him and at the end he started to bear his testimony so I then asked him if he would come to church and he did. It was so sweet. He hadn’t been to the church in sooo long. It was good. We went to a baptism this week for a child of record baptism. It was good there were nonmembers there and we got to show a short video. It was good. Than we did some service for this member who was moving from one part of our area to the other. We helped her nonmember friend move too. So we hope that we might get to teach her as well. We are still on for the baptism for Britney as far as I know. So she will be baptized on the 5th. So we also have transfers this week. I think one of us is going but I don’t know. So I can’t think of any thing else to write about so I will talk to you all later. I love you all and miss you all so much.

Subject: I can flip people off and get a way with it.

Hello family. How are you all? You all know that when I ask that Q you can answer. I don’t get to hear how everybody’s doing. So if you want you all can tell me in short emails. That would be sweet. This was a hard week for us. On p-day elder Conover jacked up his back and could do much for like 3 days. He fine now but it sucked for those days. We didn’t get much done. Then the thing that happened for me last p-day I jacked up my finger. It’s my middle finger on my left hand and It’s the top knuckle. So after it happened I put a splint on it that I made out of a plastic knife. Put ice on it and took some drugs. That was all my life saving skills. I have so many skills. I even hav comtuter hacking skills.J/K Than I called the mission nurse and she could me to do all of those things I had already done. My finger is kind of stuck at a 45° angle. They think I ruptured a tendon. So i have to keep a splint on it. So if it’s not better in 4 to 5 weeks they are going to cut into my finger to fix it. FUN TIMES! Oh well stuff happens. We had a lot of appointments cancel this week. It wasn’t fun at all. So our #’s didn’t look so good. But it’s not about #’s. it’s about people. So anther thing that was pretty fun was we got to go to a Tongan wedding. Can I tell you how much food they had? They had a whole pig. I mean the whole pig. The only thing that wasn’t there were the intestines. It was so good too. They know how to cook. There were 2 things that weren’t good about the wedding. The 1st was that it was outside and it was so hot. The 2nd was we didn’t know anybody but like 3 families so it was a little different. We still had a good time though. Then yesterday we went to teach this less active family and there daughter hasn’t been baptized. So we are trying to get them back to church so she can get baptized and so they can go to the temple. They are a very good family I just wish they would get their priorities strait. The dad knows what he needs to do. He just needs to get his wife on broad. I think they will come back to church but it might take some big life changing thing to do it. It shouldn’t take some thing like that to get people to come back to church. I hope that it doesn’t come to something like that. So the best thing that happened this week was we asked Britney noble to be baptized and she said yes! It’s set for Sep 5th. We hope that it will work. So I can’t think of any thing else to write about so I will talk to you all later. I love you all and miss you all sooooo much.

Subject: no emails again? i'm not feeling the love.

Well hello family! How are you all doing this week? I’m doing good now that it is a little cooler. This was the hottest week for the summer so far. It got up to 103 and 70% humidity. It was so hot!!! We had a good week thought. We sweat so much its crazy. So we met with one of our investigators that missionaries in the past taught. Her name is Britney Noble. She is 13 and her mom is a member. I think I can get her baptized. She is very smart and I think she has clamed down from when the last missionaries taught her. There are a lot of members that have said that she was hard to teach because she was so hyper. But every time I have met her she isn’t that way. Maybe I just haven’t got to see that side of her yet. We are going to teach her this week. So I hope that will be good. Ok so do you all remember the story I told you at the first of my mission with the girl that was in that car crash and me and Elder Clayton went to give her that blessing in the middle of the night? Good because I saw the lady who asked us to come and give that blessing. Her name is Heather Spiva. Her granddaughter was the one in the accident. Heather wasn’t a member then now she is. But one thing that is bad is that she has stage 4 cancer. So she doesn’t have much longer to live. The thing that was the funniest is that she didn’t remember who the other missionary was that gave the blessing with elder Clayton. so as we were sitting there she said that her granddaughter was coming over. (The one that was in the accident). So I told her that I hadn’t seen Tabitha (that’s her granddaughter) since Elder Clayton and I gave her that blessing. That she was like “That was you!” and I said yes. She said “I couldn’t remember your name. Thank you soo much for ding that for her.” So I told her it was one of the most spiritual experiences on my mission. So then we started talking about that then Tabitha showed up. I asked her to come back to church because she hadn’t been I a long time. She didn’t come but I will get her to come. So it was a good time. So we got to play football with the ward on Saturday. That was fun. Elder Conover isn’t that good at football. But I still had fun. Than right after we finished playing we had to go help with some service. It was this think in downtown KC. This origination gives furniture to people that don’t have all that much. So we were moving a lot of stuff. There were so many people there too. Some of the people weren’t very thankful for the things that they were getting for free. Some people were like gimme gimme. But I put my tetrais skills to work. We put this table and 4 chairs and a whole lot of crap in to this Van. I’m not sure how we got it to fit but we did. Well I can’t think of any thing else to write about so I will talk to you all later. I love you and miss you all sooo much!

Subject: peace out girl scout.

Hello family! How are you? I’m doing soooo well. Things are looking good for most of our investigators. We had to drop one of our investigators this week. All‘s he did was bash with us and we could get any where with him. So we had to say goodbye. I know we were going to drop him and I was going to do it because my comp hadn’t ever done it. But it did the right thing when we did drop him but he just did it to many times. We are supposed to bear testimony and leave. My comp boar his testimony like 5 times. Every time I tried to leave he would bear testimony. So we were there like 5 times longer than we needed to be. But it was ok I just told him what he could do better. We did a lot of biking this week we were on a lot of exchanges this week as well. I went on one after we had zone conference. It was a good zone conference I’m not going to have anther one for 2 months. How crazy is that. So every other transfer we will have a zone conference. One thing that is pretty cool that we did this week is we went to this fair that the state put on. It was an Emergency preparedness fair. So that was a lot of fun. We had a booth too. We put out a lot of stuff for people to have. We had a lot of DVDs and pass along cards and other stuff like that. That had a lot of other people show up that had booth as well. The fire dept was there the army, wal-mart, the air force est. They even an Apache helicopter show up. It was sweet. We had a lot of missionaries there to help with the booth. We didn’t talk to as many people as we wanted to. But it was still good. Things are still good with me and my comp. I’m still trying to help him be a better teacher. It’s slow but it will take time. Yes I did get the DVD. Thanks sooo much for everyone who helped make it or was in it. So thank you all soo much. Well I can’t think of anything else to write about so I will talk to you all later. I love you all and miss you all sooo much.

Subject: this is the fun V the hum drum V is back there.

Hello family! How are you all? I’m doing grate. First off want to answer mom’s Q’s. I don’t know if I want a credit card I don’t spend money other then what’s on my card that the church gives me. One thing that you could send me is anther belt. This one will still work but it might not last much longer. Oh and one other thing I think the battery in dad’s watch died. So I’m using this crappy watch that I found in our apt. I would like some thing else if at all possible. Did you get my letter that I sent with the address of my apt? If not here is the address again.203 B SE South Ave. Blue Springs, MO 64014. I didn’t send the whole thing last time I emailed. It’s nice seeing people that I have seen before. I don’t have to get to know them and that makes things nicer. And some of them remembered me. Not all of them. And yes it’s the same ward I started in. Ok that should be all of you Q’s. So we had a good week. It was a long week. It always a long week when you have to bike. And now that I’m full time bike again it’s going to be a lot of long weeks. So we had some super sweet things happen this week. We got 3 new investigators this week. The first 2 are and husband and wife. Their names are Brandon and Rachel. They are pretty nice. Her dad is a pastor so they know a little bit about religion. But we have anther app with them this week and we hope the read the BOM. And the other investigator is a girl named Ashley. She is very nice. She is married but her husband is not interested. She is 27 and he is 39. That’s a little bit of an age difference if I say so my self. But she asked some good Q’s and I hope that I answered them right. She wanted to know a lot about families. Than we saw some people that I wanted to see that I remember from this area. And it’s been a lot of fun. Elder Conover has clamed down the longer we have been to gather. He seems to be kind of a show off. But he is getting better. I’m working really hard trying to get him to be a better teacher. It’s working slowly. I’ll just keep working with him. We have zone conference this week so that should be fun. It’s going to be 2 months before our next zone conference because the church is going to start some thing new in the missions. They are going to try to get missionaries to be better teacher and to get them to invite people for baptism right at the beginning. So the will be cool. I have been trying to do that more. Well I can’t think of anything else to write about so I will talk to you all later. I love you all and miss you all so much.

Hello family. How are you all? I’m doing good. Ok I have a Q for mom. Are you sending me emails or are you slacking? Because I haven’t gotten an email from you in a long time. The last one I got from you I got way late or something like that. I’m not feeling the love. I would really like to hear from some people. Well I’m back in Blue Springs MOmy first area. How crazy is that? I’m here with Elder Conover. He is a nice guy a little different but I think I can make it work. He has been out for 1 transfer. So I’m his follow up trainer. He needs some help with his teaching and some of his people skills. But he is a hard worker and good about talking to everyone. So that is a good thing. There is a lot going on here too. But a lot of people I knew here have moved out so things are a little different. But it’s good to see some people I already know. The people I baptized are gone and one of them has already fallen away from the church. That was so sad to hear. One thing that’s new is we aren’t lining in the same apt as last time. Our address is 203 B SE Ave Blue Springs, MO 64014. Now if you want you can just start sending my letters to the mission office again they have started forwarding mail again. So it’s up to you. I don’t care as long as I get my mail. Just let me know what you are going to do. So I taught the most lessons I had ever taught in my last area right? Well I got here and we taught 27 lessons. Now I wasn’t here for all of them but that is pretty sweet. We have some good instigators right now. We also have some not so good investigators. We have 2 right now that bible bash with us. Elder Conover didn’t drop them because his trainer thought he could get some where with them. But I have taught them all I know and it’s not good enough. So we are going to see if we are going to drop them. Then we have this guy we are teaching his wife is a member and he isn’t and we are teaching him. He is a solid investigator. We hope that we can get him to church. I’m pretty sure we can get him baptized. Oh one thing I forgot to tell you Elder Con over is from UT. He has 1 older brother and 1 younger sister. He worked for his dad being a DJ. So he’s singing songs all the time. He sings a lot of songs I don’t know. That are new or something. I don’t know. One thing that is different is we go on exchange with the zone larders every Sundaybecause they cover 2 wards in 2 different buildings and they start at the same time. So we go with one of them to the other building so they can go to both wards. So that’s new. Well I can’t think of any thing else to write about so I will talk to you all later. I love you all and miss you all so much.

Subject: it's funny because he's fat!

Hello family. How are you all this week? I’m doing good. Mom yes I got your email. But it was from June so I don’t know why it’s so old. But I got it so now you can’t say that I didn’t tell you. So we have doing a lot of church tours. We have been doing them with active members we want to be doing them with investigators but we take what we can get. We want the members to think of people that would be interested in having one. It’s starting to work. We are having some members come and tell us that they have some people that want to go on one. So that is sweet. But we had a good week. We taught 22 lessons and had 10 church tours. It’s good stuff. This week we had interviews with our mission prez. They were very good. They were longer than normal. I don’t know why. So one thing that happened this week that was cool. Was we went to this In-active lady’s house to teach her. She is super old and has care takers that live with her. So we were trying to talk to her but because she was so old there wasn’t a whole lot of talking. But we started talking to her care taker and started teaching her the 1st lesson. But as we taught her she said she didn’t get it. So I started asking Q’s like “have you had a hard life and because of it you think there is no God?” and she said yes. Then I asked “so because of that you think that why would God let bad things happen to people?” she said yes. That’s when I bore my testimony to her and told her the things I know to be true. Then we asked if we could teach her more and she said yes. So we hope that we can teach her more. We will see. So the elders Quorum had a BBQ at this park. It was so HOT and HUMID. No one that was there wanted to do anything. We sweat so much. It was still fun but it could have been more fun. One thing that was good was this Sunday we had 2 investigators come to church and 5 nonmembers. And we are going to teach them all. How sweet is that? But with transfers coming up I don’t know what’s going to happen. I think I’m leaving. But until it happens I wont know. Transfers are this week. So I’ll let you know what happens. Oh there is a member here that is going to go to Las Vegas soon and he said he would say hi for me. So that might happen. His name is Brother Whipple. He is a nice guy. I don’t know him to well. Oh that jacket I sent you was from my 2nd area. I didn’t have room for it so I sent it home. I hope you liked my pictures. Well I can’t think of any thing else to write so I will talk to you all later. I love you all and miss you all.

Subject: old guys can't drive.

Hello family. How are you all? I’m doing well. Things are still moving forward here. We had some interesting stuff happen this week. So we have been trying to get a hold of this referral forever his name is Chad Gray. So we saw him like 3 weeks ago but we hadn’t gotten a hold of him since then. There was a baptism 2 Saturdays ago and the member who knows him asked him to come to the baptism and he came. That was cool. Than we had dinner with this other member (he is the one who asked us to go see him) and he asked him to come to dinner. I guess that Chad has a thing for this member girl and she came to the dinner too. So we taught him the 2nd lesson. I don’t know if he got much out of it he wasn’t as involved as he should have been. Than we found out that he thinks that all organized religion is bad. But he was invited to go to church and he came. But I don’t think he got much out of it. I don’t think he is doing this for himself. We just need him to feel the spirit in a very strong way. I hope we can do that for him. Well that’s Chad. Than something else that happened this week that was different was we went to see this less active lady in this apt complex and while we were waiting for her to come down to the lobby where we were this older lady was like “Are you all Mormon?” and we said yes. Than she said “well where is your church?” so we told her were it is. Than she said “Well my grandson found one of your Mormon bibles and has been reading it and is interested in your church.” So than we gave her some stuff to give to him and she said well if your still here I’ll see if he wants to come down to talk to you. So we were like sweet! So then the lady we were waiting on came down and we had our appointment with her but in the middle Griffin (the grandson. He is 13) came down and gave us his phone# and said to call when we were done. So we did. And he and his grandma came down and we asked if we could start teaching him. And they said yes. So we started teaching him. Half way through the lesson our phone rang but we don’t answer our phone while we are teaching because it rude. But the person called 2 times. But we just kept teaching and just as we got to the restoration this lady came around the corner and said “Griffin lets go! I’m his mother and I have been calling you and you have no permission to be teaching my son!” like we knew that we didn’t have permission. We thought that the grandma would be the permission. So we don’t know if we are going to get to teach him again. I hope that we do. So that was the craziest thing that happened this week. On Saturday we went to a funeral for one of the counselors for prez Van Komen. He died from cancer. It killed him in 4 months. It was a very good funeral. One thing that was good I got to see Elder Call. I found out that he is going home at the end of this transfer. It’s sad to hear that but I just hope he gets better. Well I can’t think of any thing else to write about so I will talk to you all later. I love you all and miss you all.

Subject: he ate how many cookies?!

what is he nut?! can't he read?!

Hello family! How are you all? I’m doing good. It’s good to see the new baby in the family. Sorry that I didn’t email until today. The liberty was closed and we had a lot of stuff to do on Tuesday. So things are going very well right now. 2 weeks ago we taught 23 lessons. Than this week we taught 24 lessons which is the most lessons I’ve taught on my mission. It’s so cool. But this week we aren’t going to get that many because we are doing this new thing were we giving church tours. We are right now giving them to active members. We can give them to nonmembers anytime but our prez wants us to give to members to make them think of some people that would be open to the idea. So that’s what we are doing try now. The tours don’t count as lessons. So that’s why we aren’t going to get that many lessons this week. We think this will help the missionary work so much. They said that taking people on church tours that have never been to our church that 80% would come to church that next Sunday. How sweet is that? One thing that happened that was pretty funny was I was I another car accident. Funny right? j/k but some did hit our car. We weren’t even in it when it happened. We were eating lunch at one of our member’s houses and his son got in his car and backed right in to our car. We didn’t care that it happened as long as our car would still run. It just put a big dent in the bumper. Then like 2 hours later the dent was gone. It still was scraped up. So we thought it was funny. The son of the member wasn’t happy. He had a nice mustang that his parents got that was ALL JACKED UP. The kid is spoiled. He wasn’t very nice the whole time we were there. One thing that I got to do was play racquetball with one of our investigators. It was fun but he beat me. But he pulled a muscle. So we are even. We didn’t do much for the 4th. It no fun just watching fireworks, it way more fun lighting them. Well I can’t think of anything else to write about so I will talk to you all later. I love you and miss you all.

Subject: I have bad news. There is no such
thing as bad news. It's just news. Ty Long
has gotten out of jail.

Hello family. How are you? I’m doing so good. We had a very good week. So we taught Lee Kruger again this week. And she asked a lot of questions. So it takes up most of the time we have with her to answer her questions. But it’s still good. We are planning on moving her baptism date to some time in August. So we hope that will work out. She came to church this week too. She couldn’t stay for all of church but she said that next week she would stay for all of it. So that will be good. So we taught Kelvin this week also. We had a very good lesson with him. We read King Benjamin’s address. He loved it. He loved the idea of a king that work with and for the people. So at the end of the lesson he said “I want to step it up and have you guys come over again this week.” So I asked him to do me favor. And he said “let me guess you want me to come to church?” and I said yes. (The missionaries have been teaching him seen October and he had yet to go to church.) Than he said Ok I promise to come to church this week. So we got a team up to go with us to see him on our next appointment. So as we are driving to his house he calls me and say “I’m way to busy and I gets don’t have the time to see you guys today.” So I kept talking to him as we still were driving to his house. Than when he saw us he said “ok only 10 min.” so we got out and started talking to him and made sure he was going to be at church. So I wasn’t sure if he was going to come to church. But one of our team ups saw him in the parking lot and came and told us. So Elder Fleming went out to get him. So he finally came to church and he loved it! He asked us to play racquetball with him to day so we are going to call him and see if we can. I’m going to get him baptized. He knows the church is true. So that was one of the big things that happened this week. Anther thing that happened was we had an appointment with a less Active member. He wasn’t there. So we went to our next appointment early. We talked with brother Worthington outside for a little bit (who is also L.A.) and this lady walking down the road walked past us then turned around and asked “are you Jehovah’s witnesses” then we were like heck no. I’m j/k we didn’t say that. I wanted to. But we were like no we are LDS. And she asked if we had something to give her and we said yes we do. So if our other appointment would have been there we would have never met her. We haven’t seen her after that but she might join later in life. We don’t know but back to brother Worthington. He is deaf and can read lips but the out side of his house smelled so badly. We were glad that he wanted to talk to us outside. Than we had to ask about his kids and he was like come on in and meet them. His house was so scary. It was dark and there were all these animal cages and it smelled bad and there were and these people there. It was also super dirty. It wasn’t fun. But the other really good thing that happened this week was that we now have Cathy Hanson with a date. It’s in September but it’s better than nothing. She wants to move it forward but until we can find out about conmen law marriage we can’t move it forward. So we hope it will work out. One last thing we taught 23 lessons this week. That’s the most I have ever taught in one week. That was sweet. Well I can’t think of anything else to write about so I will talk to you all later. I love you all and miss you all!
