Subject: i'm coming home to the place where i belong.

Hello family,

So this is my last email home. I’m not sure how long it’s going to be but what I don’t say in this I’ll just tell you in person. So this week was sooooo slow. My comp had pneumonia and something else that starts with a b but I don’t know how to spell it. So we were told by his doc that we were to take it slow. So we didn’t leave the house that much this week. But we did get to see Greg this week. We had dinner with him and his family. So we were going to ask him to be baptized but his isn’t ready right now. He will be soon but not right now. We asked him if being baptized was some thing he wanted to do and he said yes. But he danced around the Q big time. I think he will be just not right now. So I really can’t think of any thing else to talk about. We didn’t have that much happen so I guess I will see you all soon. I love you all and miss you all.

Subject: what did the 5 fingers say to the face?

SLAP!!!!!

Hello family,

It’s me Elder Scoble. How are all of you this week? I’m good. Things are starting to pick up here. This area was left so bad that it has taken us forever to get things to make sense. So we got a few new referrals this week the only problem is that they are way far away. So we have to have the car to go and see these people. So when we get the car on Wednesday we will go up there and see them. So we were able to see Jay and Jennifer Goodson this week. We taught them the restoration. He still has a lot of Q’s that just don’t matter. But they are things he has a problem with so we have to do our best to help him know what the truth is. So we hope it will work out for the best. I don’t think I will see them baptized but I do think that they will be some day. It’s only a mater of time. We also had zone conference this week. Someone of the 70 came to talk to us. Really it was more like yell at us. He did a lot of yelling. But he did have some good things. I got a lot out of his talk. So I also went on exchanges this week with the Zone leaders and the district leader. They were fun but not a lot happened. On one of them we went to a fireside were that same 70 talk to us. It still was more like yelled at us. There were a lot of different stakes their, some that I severed in. so I got to see some of people from my old wards. That was nice. We also went to the zoo again this week. we also got to do something different this time. This time I got to clean a pond. It was like one of the things that I did at the zoo in Wichita but not as dirty. But for now I think that’s about it for now. I can’t think of any thing else to talk about. Oh one more thing before I go for those who have written me letters I’m sorry I haven’t written back but I’m so close to coming home that I will just talk to you then. I hope that is ok with you all. But remember I love you and miss you all so much. And I will see you all soon.

Subject: how many cups of sugar does it take to get to the moon?

Hello family,

How are all of you this week? I’m good. We had a pretty good week this week. It’s so sweet being here in this area. Elder Knight and I are having a lot of fun. He didn’t like his last 2 comps and he said he likes being with me. So that’s good to hear. So the Aldrich’s took us to Chuck e cheeses for FHE. It was so fun. We had a lesson so that makes it ok. They were the ones who asked us if we wanted to go. So I had my last interview in the mission. I have one more when I’m leaving but that’s it. So that’s a little crazy. It fells weird to be the oldest missionary in the area. Everyone has to tell me how much longer I have left. It’s going so fast. So we helped again at the zoo. So the guy we work with had a Q for us it had to do with that guy getting in trouble at BYU. So we had to talk to him about that. Who knew that someone breaking a commandment would help with some missionary work? But we just moved a lot of branches again. So there is this older guy that we see about once a week. His name is Brother Winkler. He is a funny old guy. He doesn’t have all of the church teachings strait some times but he is funny. So I guess that makes it ok. He will tell us the same stories every time we see him. So we didn’t get to see our investigators this week but we did get appointment for next we. So we hope that we can bring them closer to Christ. So on Saturday we helped this sister move out of her old house into her new. Ok really we just helped her move out of her old house. Because we helped load the truck but we didn’t go to help unload it. We went to help this other member move a lot of logs out of this other sister’s house. Can I tell you that moving logs sucks? The city will come in a cut down trees that are to close to power lines and they leave the wood for you to move. That’s just stupid if you ask me. Be we moved this whole tree. We moved 2 tree really. But it was ok it wasn’t as bad as it could have been. So for the first time I was late to church. We didn’t know it was day light savings time. So we were about a half an hour late to church. No one told us to change our clocks. Oh well I don’t think too many people knew we were later. So while we were at church we had to teach the gospel principles class. And I was teach the first part of it and I said something a long the lines of (we are working hard the get salvation) and one of the older guys in the class correct me and says (we all get salvation be we all want exaltation). We had an investigator in that class and there was a reason I used the words I did. That guy does stuff like that to much in our class. I wish we could ask him to go to anther class. Be he is one of our ward missionaries so he thinks he has to be in that class. So we will see what happens. So as for the field day thing I would like to do the water balloon sling thing. That sounds like fun. I would also like for you to invite these people to my home coming. The Barton’s, Beatrice Farrel, Kazarie Pavlides,Kevin Smith, and Aarika Gilson. Those are just some of the people I can think of right now if there is some onr you thing I would like there that I did give you a name for just invite them. I think I will be ok with it. Well I cant think of anything else to write about so I will talk to you all later. I love you all and miss you all so much.

Subject: glorious turds rain down from heaven.

Hello family,

How are all you this week? I’m great. Things are starting to pick up. Not too much though we will have some good things happen soon I hope. So we again went to do zoo service. So I did something stupid and I hurt my self. So they are cutting down a lot of trees at the zoo and they wanted us to move all of the branches into a pile. So we all were doing that. So a lot of the branches were on top of one anther so you would some times have to pull them apart. So I was trying to pull one a part from anther one but it wasn’t working. So I thought I’ll just break one of them and that worked but I pulled the branch really hard not thinking of the direction I was pulling it. So I pulled it strait into my chest. And the branch had a nice sharp part to it so it hurt pretty bad. I have a nice cut on my chest right now. It’s was a good thing that I was wearing a sweater other wise it might have been a lot worse. But I’m fine the cut is pretty much gone now. So fun times. So we got to meet two of our investigators this week. So we got to meet Jay and Jennifer Goodson. So Jennifer would be baptized but her husband isn’t there right now. I think he will be some day but not right now. I hope we can help him to know the Joseph Smith is a Prophet. That’s what holding him back. But once he get passed that he would be baptized. So our other investigator is Greg Dawson. He is this black guy that we are teach. His wife who is a member just started coming back to church. So we have been teaching him. But when we teach him he has no problems and he has no Q’s so that is a red flag in my book. When ever I have taught people like that there is always something wrong or something they aren’t telling us. So I hope I can find what he might not be telling us. We also had Stake conference this week it was a broadcast from salt lake. It was good but the Aldrich’s were sitting I front of us and started laughing a lot and we didn’t know why. So we are going home with them and Sister Aldrich tells us why she was laughing and said was singing the song but put 2 words together. The words were (to and word) but they came out as turd. So everyone around us was laughing pretty hard. Well as for the field day thing that sounds like fun so I’m in. well I can’t thing of anything else to talk about. So I love you all and miss you all.

subject: are you hungry? no i ate a june bug on the way in.

Hello family,

How are all of you this week? I’m doing good. Things are still slow but we hope that the more work we do the better things will get. So the Aldrichs are so freaking funny! They make me laugh so hard some times. We play games with them all the time. Elder Knight and I win a lot of the time. But jay has been winning a little more the last few times we have played. So we have a zoo here in Topeka and we go there once a week. It’s not as big as the one in Wichita but it still fun to work at this zoo. I like doing things like that. Last week we went and we cut some bushes down and then we had to go pull out some small trees. It was a lot of work. We also get to go and help with the bishops store house every other week. We pretty much set up tables and bring in food and set it out. Then we can help people get the food and take it to there car. There are a lot of older people there they tell us what to do. So it a really long day of service on Tuesdays. So we finally got the car and then we find out that the other elders took almost all of the miles going out of the area. So we have like no miles. It’s a good thing it a new month. There are so many people that are less active in this ward its crazy and a lot of them live in the north part of our area. So we hope that we can get enough miles to go see them. In this ward a lot of guys in the ward play basketball in the morning before they have to go to work and we go play with them. We have to get up at 5:30. I’m not a fan of getting up at that time but it start the day with a good note. It might help me lose some weight. Well I can’t think of any thing else to write so I will talk to you all later. I love you and miss you sooooo much.

Subject: I love cars.

Hello family,

How are all of you? I'm good for those of you who don't know i got transferred. I'm now in Kaw Valley ward. That's in Topeka, KC With my new comp Elder Knight. I think we are going to have a fun time together. He is from AR little rock. So he was pretty close to this mission when he got his call. So you might be think how do i feel about this transfer and i would tell you that I'm in deferent about the whole thing. I didn't like that i was getting doubled transferred in. the elders that were here before us didn't leave us any good info. If we didn't live with some sweet members we wouldn't know anything. We live with the Aldricks. They are super sweet. They like to play games with us. Like ticket to ride. That is a pretty sweet game. Out of the 3 times we have played i have won 2 and my comp won the other. So brother Aldrick hasn't won at all. It pretty funny. They swear from time to time and it so funny. So we have some good things happening here. We have 4 nonmembers that come to church every week and 3 of them are investigators. So i have gotten to teach one of them her name is Jennifer and she would be baptized if it wasn't for her husband. He is just one of those guys that need to see everything before he can believe. So i think that they will be baptized be it will just take some time. So the 2^nd day in this area we didn't have a good map and so we went out trying to get a feel for the area. So we walked for ever and we found out that we walked out of our area like 3 times. We walked a mile out of my area. It sucked. So other than that we are having a good time it will be a little bit before we have a good feel for the area. Oh and one more thing WE ARE PART TIME CAR!!!!!!!!!!! YES!!!!!!!!!!! h'm so tried of walking and biking even though i haven't biked for a while. My last 2 comps didn't think to bike. Also Elder Knight doesn't have a bike right now. So we are walking a lot. Well i cant think of anything else to write about so i will talk to you all later. I love you all and miss you all.

hello family,
it me Elder Scoble the cool one. jk so how is everyone doing this week? I'm doing great. we had a good week. so on Monday we didn't have a dinner so i called some people in the ward trying to find and dinner. i had no luck. so thought on who could i call for a dinner. so then i saw how close we were to Parkville. so i gave the Horrocks a call and they said that they would feed us. so brother horrocks came to get us. so we went out to meet him at the Kmart parking lot and when we got there he had gotten himself stuck on the snow. so we tried to help him get out. we were no help at all. we did get out after a while. but we talked for a while and they said they went dad and Thomas get here we can have dinner at there house. so we have a dinner. i wanted to see them before i left and this gave us the best reason to go. so cool beans. on Tuesday we had a leadership conference. it was for all district leaders and zone leaders and trainers and sister leaders. so i got to go. i have to say it was one of the best meetings i had been to. the meeting its self was boring but the testimony meeting part at the end was the best. the spirit was so strong it felt like being in the temple. that was the best part. so it was a good meeting. then on Wednesday we had lunch with this older couple and they were a little different. this guy was way more anal about slamming the doors on his car then Dad. we didn't slam the doors at all and he was so mad because he thought we did. it was crazy. but later that night we had dinner with the young women of the ward. they had us come to church and we got to know them and it was a lot of fun. so we saw Joc again and he is doing ok. he still is having some problems. we hope he can over come. so we will keep praying for him. also this week we got to go the and singles activity. it was for the 30s and up singles so it was ok. if it wouldn't have been i would have thought someone is trying to get me married. jk. one other thing we got to do this week. we were with a resent convert named David and he took us to see Joseph Smith Jr.'s grave. that was cool. there aren't a lot of people that get to see that. so we are soo cool. so transfers are this week. i don't know whats going to happen. this being my last one i could go or stay. we will see what happens. well i cant think of any thing else to write about so i will talk to you all later. i love you all and miss you all.

Subject: sleep over woooooohooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!

hello family,

how are all of you this week? i'm good. we had a slow week because of all the snow. we got 12" of snow. we were at a members house when it started snowing. we were painting the rest of the stuff that i didn't get to finish. and by time we were done there was so much snow that we couldn't get home. so we stayed the night.it was the first sleep over i have had on my mission. i had fun. we just played a lot of games and stuff like that. the roads were ploud by the morning. so we were able to get out and get home by then. but i liked it. so there is this one family that we are teaching and there names are the wagnons. i think that's how to spell there name. but we have been teaching them for an little while. they are like a your and mine kind of family. they just got married 2 months ago. one of there daughters isn't a member. the boyfriend of one of the other daughters isn't a member either and he comes to the lessons every time. so we have been trying to teach them all of the lessons. we don't know how to ask him to be baptized because he doesn't live in our area. he is 18 so he doesn't have to have his parents permission. but we think its a good thing for him to tell his parents so it doesn't look like we are teaching him behind their back. so we hope something happens soon. so how have things been for you all lately? i'm having fun other then all the snow. it doesn't make it fun for walking or biking. and there are no sidewalks here. we try to get some of our ward missionaries to give us rides so we don't have to walk as much. it makes things easier. well i can't think of any thing else to write about so i will talk to you all later. i love you all and miss you all.

Subject: me no likey the Chucky Cheese.

Hello family,

How are all of you? I’m doing grate. This was a fun week for me. We were able to do some fun stuff. So one thing we did this week was we went to the Cummins house to do some painting. They were painting 2 rooms one was there bathroom and one of the kid’s bedrooms. So I told my comp to start the kid’s room and I would start the bathroom. So I finish the taping and the first coat of paint and I go to see where he was at and to see if he needed help. So I go in there and he is still on the first wall. So I start to help him. I got 2 walls done before he finished the first wall he was on. After that I started doing the edging. After I was done with that my comp didn’t come back. So I finished that room by myself. I still didn’t finish the bathroom so I will have to go back and finish that this week. That same family took us to Chucky Cheese. That’s the first time I have ever been there and I don’t think I will go back. It was crazy. There where way to many people there and the food wasn’t the best. I still had fun though. So I went on exchanges with some of the elders in my district and I was a good one but it felt long. And the missionary that I was with talked very loud in his sleep. I thought about talking to him to see if he would talk back but I didn’t try. So I think at the end of this transfer I going to ask to be released from being a district leader. I just want to be a normal missionary. I don’t like all the other stuff that they want me to do. So I will see what happens. But we are trying hard to help our investigators to progress. Some are moving slower than we would like but as long as they are moving forward it will work out. So but everything is good here. Well I can’t think of anything else to talk about so I will talk to you all later. I love you all and miss you all soooooo much.

Subject: my district is falling apart!

Hello family, how are you this week? I’m good. It was a crazy week though. So some funny things that happened this week before I get to the crazy stuff. We were walking in the snow the other day and we had been walking for like 40 min and we had been slipping all other the place but I never fell. Until we got to the place we were walking to. There was this big patch of ice and I totally hit it. I’m fine now my butt doesn’t hurt anymore. So this week I had my first district meeting and it was ok. I thought it could have been better. But what can you do. I have a fun district though. I tried to make as fun and a good learning experience. I tried to have everyone get to know each other by playing some games. But after my district meeting I had exchanges with elder Childs. So I went to his area and his comp went to mine. So the exchange was good. We taught some good people in their area. So the next day we are getting ready to go out and work and we get a call from president. So Elder Childs was talking to him and come to find out his comp had called president and told him he was going home. So Elder Childs is super down and I’m trying to think of what to say to help him. After about an hour I helped him clam down. Then the zone leaders show up with his comp and my comp. President called them and told them what was going on. Well my comp didn’t have any idea what was going on. The other elder never told him anything. So he was like what the crap. But just as they got to where we were the elder who wanted to go home changed his mind. So than it became the big thing were they were trying to cancel the plans to send him home. They were lucky that they were able to do that because he still almost went home. I have had 1 missionary go home from my district I don’t need another. But he still might go home. He said he would finish the transfer and then he would stay or go. So we will see. Well everything is good with me and my comp and we are having fun. I can’t think of anything else to write about so I will talk to you all later. I love you all and miss you all.

hello family how are all of you this week? I'm good we had a good week.it's been a little slow but we have been able to teach some good people. we were able to teach this guy named Joc. he is from Africa and he speaks french. we is a very nice guy but it will be a while before he is baptized. he is a smoker and he has a problem with the law of Chasity. so we hope we can help him over come these things. i dont remember if i told you last week but i have the Cummins move out of blue springs and into this ward. i thought that was funny. so i gotten to see them a few times since i have been here. it makes me think of good times. we had Zone conference this week. it was good. i also thought about the fact that that was my last one. we dont have one next transfer.so that was crazy to me. i also got to do my first baptism interview. that was nerve racking. but the 2 i interviewed were very solid in the gospel. so it was fun in the end. we also had a priesthood meeting on Sunday. it was a little different they showed 2 videos and they weren't put together very well. but they had good messages so i guess they even out. and yesterday we when to Costco. my comp wanted to go there really bad and so we went out there and we found that he didn't have enough money to buy anything. so i ended up buying it all. but its ok i have a lot of money saved up. i don't spend that much. i'm glad to hear that mom is doing good. and tell alex i said hi when you see him. well i can't think of anything else to write about so i will talk to you all later. i love you all and miss you all sooooooo much.

Subject: why did they have to call me to be a DL?

Hello family,

It’s me Elder Tyler Scoble. How’s it going for all of you this week? I’m good. I did get transferred to a new area. I’m now inNorth Kansas City in the liberty stake. I’m also I district leader. I didn’t want to be a DL. I have been soo stressed. So I have 4 elders and 4 sisters in my district. i think it will be an ok time with all of them. When I left Blue Springs I wasn’t feeling that well and when I got here it just went to crap. My head felt like it was going to blow up. It still doesn’t fell that good. But I will be ok. It will go away soon. I think. My new Comp is Elder Smith. He is from Utah. He is the oldest in his family and he is very loud. But we will have a fun time together. He is still on the new side so we will see what happens. We do have some sweet families here. The ward I’m in just got a new bishop and he is a little intents. But he is still new so we hope he will calm down and be a good bishop. So there is this family in the ward and they have this daughter that loves missionaries. She loves them a little too much. She is 17 and flirts a lot. I think it funny. She ok looking but not my type so we don’t have don’t have anything to worry about. So our apt is by far the worst apt I have had on my mission. It is sooo crappie. I don’t even know what to do. i think I will start cleaning it up soon. This might be my last area so we will see. So let me know how mom is doing and how all the jazz goes. Subject: good night and big balls.

Hello family,

How are all of you doing this week? I’m doing good. We had a pretty good week this week. We were able s to see some our investigators this week. We haven’t seen some of them in like 4 weeks. But we were able to set a time. So we saw Ashley this week and she is our best investigator right now and she was one of the ones the ones we hadn’t seen for a long time. So we went and talked to them for a little bit. Then we asked them if they wanted to take a church tour. And this said yes so we went to our church building and did the tour. It was a good one except for all the people setting up the wedding reception. Other than that it was good. But now we aren’t going to see them for a week because they went to Hawaii for their honeymoon. Lucky!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want to go to Hawaii. So one thing that is hard is transfers are this week and I didn’t know what is happening to me. I have been here for a long time and my comp is going home. I could stay but that would make it 9 months that would have been here. I wouldn’t mind staying but I’m getting pretty burned out in this area. So I don’t know what’s going on. So we gave like 6 blessing this week. There are so many people sick right now it’s crazy. We had a good new year. It was kind of like one of the ones we would have at home. We just had some finger foods and played games. So it was pretty fun. Well I can’t think of anything else to write about so I will talk to you later. I love you all and miss you all soo much.

Subject: happy new year!

Hello family,

How are all of you? I’m doing great! It was so nice to get to talk to you all on Christmas. I wish I could have talked longer. But we did have things to do for the rest of the day. That day was one of the busiest days I have had I a little while. We saw 6 families. We don’t see that many people that often in one day. We saw the Clarks, the feldmans, the Houceks, the Hubands, and the Soifuas, and the Kriklands. So it was a crazy day. But it was a lot of fun. And yesterday I had to teach the young men and young women on short notice. But it was good we had a fun time I just played a game and I used it to teach about communication. And why it’s important. I thought it was good. Elder A. had to teach the elders quorum. I’m glad that I didn’t have to teach them. They never answer Qs. That drives me nuts and I know they know the answer. So it was nice that he taught it. Well I don’t have a lot to talk about because I just talked to you guys the other day. So I guess I will talk to you all later. Subject: thats not our son that's a ninga.

Hello family, how are all of you this Christmas week? I’m good. It’s been a lot of fun. So we had a slow week but a fun one. We have been trying sooo hard to meet with some of our investigators this past week. We had no luck. Christmas makes things sooo hard some time. So I feel like we aren’t going to see them until after Christmas. It’s not my favorite like to happen but as long as we get to see them I think it will be ok. So Elder A. (I’m just going to put that because I don’t know off the top of my head hoe to spell it) is super trucky. He will never admit to it but he is. And he is making me trucky. A lot of the time if we are going to do something he is just like I don’t care I’m going home soon. We still get along but it’s hard to stay proactive with that happening. So I will do my best to try and get him more motivated to do the work. We were in a meeting yesterday and we were talking about a lot of people in the ward and he said at the end. The meet was way too long and I didn’t know who we were talking about. And I thought that it was a good meeting because there was a lot of stuff that we need to happen and the meeting was going to help with it all. I don’t know I’ll see what I can do. So for Christmas we do have a dinner but it’s with one of the wired families in our ward the Hubands. I hope that our dinner is short because I don’t want to spend my whole Christmas there. I think I’m going to call in the morning around 9. I don’t know if that will be the exact time but I will try to call around then. I don’t know if I can do the ichat stuff but if I can I will let you know. Well I can’t think of anything else to write about so I will talk to you all later.
