Subject: like a glove!

Hello. How are you all? I’m doing good. I’m still here with elder Woodward. I think it will be a good thing. I hope that I can keep him talking to people. He’s doing a little better. So there wasn’t that much that happened this week. The biggest thing that happened is the all mission conference with Elder Bednar. It was SWEET! He made the whole thing fun. He didn’t just talk to us he asked questions and let us ask him questions. It was sweet. He didn’t call on me when I raised my hand. But he did call on the Elder sitting next to me. That’s all most like getting called on right? J/k but he told us not to try and tell every body about the things we talked about because he didn’t want people try to retell what he said. It like when you play the game telephone. By the end it’s not the same thing he said. But he did talk about how members are full time finder and missionaries are full time teachers. And how us as missionaries need to get out of the way. We need to stop trying to get people baptized for us. We need to do it for them. That’s some of the things we talked about. It was really good. We got a new bishop this week in the Auburn Hills ward. He should be a good bishop. I’m going to miss the last bishop. But we just need to keep moving forward. I did get the package you sent me and thank you for all the stuff. I do like the shirt and the toothbrush. They are sweet. The reason I sent the hard drive home was I didn’t want to keep it with me. It has a lot of music and some movies on it. I told you on Christmas that I was going to send it. Sorry I didn’t take as many pictures as Thomas. But you wanted me to send you my card so I did. Well we still don’t have any new investigators. We are still working on that. We need the ward to start getting us some people to teach. But I can’t think of anything else to write so I will talk to you later. I love you and miss you all.

Subject: nice hooter. the owls there are nice.

Hello family. How are you? I’m good for now. This week was an ok week. It started slow. On Monday I had a family home evening. It was with the bishop’s son and his family. It was a lot of fun. They like to tell stories like our family. They are a sweet family. Tuesday we had interviews with the prez. I liked it a lot sister Van Komen said I could be her secretary. She is j/k. but it’s funny. Then later that night we saw sister John. We see her every Tuesday. She is working on her rebaptism. She left the church because her husband didn’t like it. She didn’t know how bad of a thing she was doing. So now she is coming back. It’s a good thing. On Wednesday we biked out to the other side of the area. It sucks to bike that far. And when the wind is blowing that sucks just that much more. But than later that night we went to teach a LA in the singles ward. Her name is Krista Greenlee. She is nice but she just doesn’t come to church. So we are teaching the lessons to her. She said that it would be a good thing for her. So we are going to keep teaching her. Thursday we biked out to the other side again. It sucks 2 days in a row. My butt was feeling it. But we saw a lot of people out there that day so it was a good thing. Than we had to get home to try and see this lady who said we could come back. So we go up to her door and ring the doorbell and I ask Elder Woodward what her name was and he didn’t remember. And the husband came to the door and I said the first name that came to my mind. It was the wrong name. So now we have to go back and see if we can talk to her again. On Friday we had Zoo service and there was this bird that keep saying Hello to me. It was funny. Than we went to the Farrows for dinner. They are nice. One of their girls thinks I’m cute. See I can’t keep them off me. J/k then on Saturday we worked all day and it was a long day. We saw Craig our new investigator. It was a hard lesson. He had some of the hardest Q’s. at the end of the lehe said he would pray if he wanted us to come back an keep teaching him. So we will see how it goes. We I don’t have a lot of time. I will write a letter this week to you all. I don’t know what’s going to happen for transfers but I will let you know next week. I love you and miss you love tyler

Subject: are you going to finish that? i order it didn't i.

Hello family! How are you all doping? I’m sweet. Things are good. Last week was a good week. We had some good stuff happen. And we have been biking up a storm. My butt and legs are killing me. It’s been windy so it makes biking that much harder. I don’t like the wind it sucks. At least I’m getting hot wife points. So bring it on! J/K so we had some good days. We had 2 day were we taught 5 lessons on both days. Those are good days. We also got 20 lessons for the week. That was sweet. On Friday
we had zoo service. That is some thing we would have been doing the whole time but something has come up so that we couldn’t go. But we got to go this week. It was a lot of fun. We work with the South America and Australian birds. It’s a little loud in the place were they hold the birds. I get to see some cool looking birds. One of them tried to bit me. If it would have I would have bitten it back. It wouldn’t have seen it coming. J/K but there was some nasty stuff we had to clean. They had this pond thing that they had all the water out of and it had sooooo much crap in it. We had to shovel it out of the pond. It was Mike Rows to show up. He is the guy on dirty jobs right? It smelled bad too. Elder Woodward through a Shovel load into a wheel barrel and it splashed all over me. I was ready to kill him. But I didn’t. I just smelled bad. We did that for 4 hours. We do it every Friday. But on 3 weeks ago we found this guy knocking doors and he said to come back on Saturday but last Saturday Elder Woodward got sick so we didn’t get to go by. So this last Saturday I wanted to see him so bad that we stopped by 3 times and on the 3rd time he was there. We sat down and taught him and it was good. But he says he is just trying to get to know what we teach. He’s not looking for the true church. But we plan on changing that. We have an appointment with him this next Saturday so we hope that it goes well. I have been working a lot with getting elder Woodward to talk to people we meet on the street and he is getting a little better. I’m going to keep working with him. We are having another all mission conference Elder Bednar or how ever you spell that. Ya he coming so that should be fun. One thing I need is a new white tie. The one I have fell a part. So if I could get a new one that would be sweet. Also I wont get letters from you guys unless you send them to the house I’m staying at. I’ll get them but it will take a lot longer for me to get them. So just don’t send mail the week before the 4th of next month that’s when transfers are. Well I can’t think of any thing else to write about so I will let you all go. I love you all and miss you all.

hello family. how are all of you? i'm good. this week was still a little slow. but i'm hoping that this week is better. i have been worikng hard to help elder woodward talk to people we meet on the street. he just never wants to talk to people. and it hard to get him to. i would talk to them but if i stop when we are biking he leave me because he never looks back. it sucks. at zone conf. prez said that all of us are to talk to 10 people a day each. that will make it easyer to get elder woodward to talk to people. we met this guy the other day knocking doors and he said that we could go ba don saturday to talk to him. he said that his church would say that we are evil. than he said that he had never met a bad mormon. so that was cool to hear. that shows that members are doing what they need to be doing. we didn't get totalk to him this saturday because elder woodward got sick off KFC. it was the frist time he had ever had it and the last. we didn't leave the house all day. it sucks when you aren't the one who's sick. i didn't do alot that day. elder woodward is talking a little more. but not much. he a hard time talking to people on the phone. well i have to go i'll talk to you all later. i love you all and miss you all.

Subject: We could just put chocolate on the floor and
just let Chunk eat his way through.

Hello family. How are you all? I’m sweet. We had a slow week but it was a good one. We had 2 days of –9 to –15 Degrees. It sucked. It was hard to work in. you can’t do much in that. We didn’t bike that much too. So we didn’t get to see that many people last week. But the best thing that happened this week is the Baptisms for the McCarter’s and Jenna and John-Michael. It was soo sweet. It took us 3 ½ hours to get there but it was wroth it. The bishop in the Auburn hills ward is the one who gave us a ride. So I got there and had to get right in to my baptizing stuff. Than we took some pictures. Brother Horrocks baptized brother McCarter and his son and I baptized Jenna And John-Michael. It a lot easier to baptize kids. They don’t weigh as much. After the baptism we did the confirmation there too. Brother McCarter wanted me to be in the circle so that’s why they did it that day. Brother Barnheart confirmed Brother McCarter and his son. Elder Barker Confirmed Jenna And John-Michael. So I was happy that I got to go back to my old area and do that and to get to see all the people I worked with there. They all said they missed me. The Horrocks said that the elders there now aren’t as fun and they don’t talk as much. So that made me feel good. I wasn’t feeling good yesterday. I don’t even know what was wrong. But I feel better today. Still have some things wrong but it should get better. One thing the mission changed is that they aren’t forwarding mail any more so if you are going to send me mail you have to send it to the place I’m staying at. So my address is 2513 S. Denene St. Wichita, KS 67215. They said that the post office here isn’t forwarding the mail for us. So that’s about it for now. For things I need I can’t think of any thing right now so. Well I love you and miss you all a ton. So don’t miss me to much.

Subject: Deceased durgs, Deceased durgs, Deceased, ham sandwich.

Hellooooo family! How are you? I’m good. I’m trying to get used to my new area. It’s not easy. But I like the area. The only thing is that they just made us full time bike. The mission pres. Must hate me because I crashed the car. So this is pay back. I can see him now saying (you are never going to have a car again in this mission hahahahahahahahaha!) something like that. But we will make do. It’s so cold and my gloves suck. They already have holes in them. So I took a pic of them so I could get some new ones. But I don’t know if I want new ones. They don’t keep my hands warm. Well elder Woodward and I get along well. He is just a little awkward sometimes. But it’s all good. I do most of the talking in app. My wit helps a lot to make app go well. Elder Woodward is from Idaho. I can never remember the part of Idaho he is from. Sorry. But it’s all good. So last night our bishop gave us some info about some people that called him at church that wanted to get baptized. So we where like sweet. He told us that they wanted us to call them that night. So we did. So when I stared talking to the guy. He was very excited. But the more I talked to the guy it just started to sound like it was fake. Just the things he would say would make me feel like it wasn’t real. So I gave the info to my districted leader to see if he felt the same way when he talked to them. The address he gave me on the phone wasn’t in my GPS or on the map. So it bugged me last night. But some thing that made me feel better is that Elder Barker called me from my last area and told me what time the baptism was for the McCarter’s and Jenna and John-mike on Saturday. The sweet thing is that Jenna And John-mike wants me to baptize them. That just made my day. Brother Horrocks is going to baptize Brother McCarter. So that will be sweet. I just need a ride back to my old area on the 9th.the bishop in this ward said if no one would do it he would take us. So that is sweet. Well we are moving out of the Ramages and are moving in to the Pinkertons today. But it was a little weird because the Ramages came back home last night at 3 in the morning. So we didn’t know what to do so we cleaned there house all night last night to make sure that it was nice for when that got home. Sister Ramage said that I cleaned something she never cleans. It was funny. We played with there kids this morning it was fun. Well I can’t think of any thing else to write about so I will talk to you all later. I love you and miss you all.

Sister Lisa McCole

This is a letter that my mom received from a lady in Tyler's last area. She also sent us this picture! What a stud!

Merry Christmas
Scoble Family,

Well it was bound to happen, but did it have to be the week of
Christmas?
Our beloved Elder Scoble has moved to
Wichita, Kansas. It is about 5 hours
southwest of
Kansas City. I hope to meet you if you come to pick him up
when his mission is over. We live very close to the
Kansas City airport.

The first photo is of him greeting people at church
on Sunday. The second
is him being silly in our home. He gave a great object lesson on receiving
and accepting guidance from Heavenly Father.

Thank you for sharing your son with us. He is great and has a lovely smile.
He was asked to give his testimony during his last Sunday with our ward. He
said that he prayed and knows that Joseph Smith
was a true prophet and that
the Book of Mormon
is true. He referenced a talk by Elder Holland when he
stated that no evil man could write scripture and no righteous man would
attempt to write scripture. Love that!!!!!!

I hope you and your family have a blessed next 16 months. You'll be hugging
your two missionaries then.

Love,
Sister Lisa McCole
