Subject: I get to play racquetball today!

Hello family. It’s me Elder Ty Scoble. How’s it going? So this was a good week. We didn’t have a lot of lessons with investigators this week. They all canceled on us but we still had a good week. We had exchanges this week with the district leader. My exchange wasn’t that bad but elder Call’s wasn’t the best. He had to go with Elder Olsen. He is soooooo weird. He is an only child and just does weird things. The thing that sucks the most is that I have to go on exchanges with him tomorrow. That sucks. I don’t know what I’m going to do. Well for elder Call’s sickness. He isn’t getting better. He’s getting worse. He had the blood work done and it didn’t show any thing. Witch the blood work isn’t the best way to show what he has and he knew that. So we are just waiting for the doctors to pull their heads out of their butts and go to the problem and stop treating the pain. But we can’t make them do anything. This should be a better week for us we hope that we get to teach Jennifer this week. She got sick last week. We might get some new investigators this week to. In the 2nd ward they are working so hard on finding people. This one guy say that he is working on like 6 people to see if they would like to take the lessons. How sweet is that? Did John get my birthday card I sent him? Let me know. Some thing funny that happened out here is the other day I was talking to a family in our ward. Than they found out that I’m from Vegas and they are like we have family down there but you probably don’t know them. I asked what’s name and she said the Workmens. I know them they are related to my cousins. So I thought that was funny. Well I can’t think of any thing else to write about so I will talk to you all later. I love you and miss you all.

Subject: was up!

Hello family. How are you all? I’m good. This was a good week but it was also a slow week. So we are still teaching Jennifer Green and she is sooo sweet. She isn’t even baptized and she is doing missionary work. How cool is that? She asked a friend if hers to come to church with her and to have some friends over to take the lessons. She is better at doing missionary work than the whole 1st ward. That’s crazy. So Tuesday we got a hair cut so I’m looking super hot. I can’t keep the girls off me. j/k but I do look good. So some of the days this week we didn’t get out of the house until way late because Elder Call wasn’t feeling good. The doctors just put him on more pills that have nothing to do with his stomach. They are antidepressants. We have no idea why they would put him on that. It’s making me mad that they won’t just test him to see what’s wrong. They need to stop beating around the bush. But he did go get a blood test done but we don’t know what the verdict is yet. One thing that happened that day that I found sooo funny had to do with this dog. So Elder Call and I were walking down the road and this road is 4 lanes. So we see this little Chihuahua on the other side of the street and it just happens to be peeing in some else’s yard. But we keep walking and we hear the dog barking at us so we look and it is running across the street to bark at us. But it got across the street. We have no idea how it did that. So we keep walking and the dog keeps barking at us. Than we see this big black lady who is yelling at the dog to “stay there”. So we try to help her by standing there to see if the dog would just stand there and just bark at us. That didn’t work. The than got bored with us and jumped into the street. Than the dog looked up to see a car coming and it mowed it down! The lady across the street freaked out! She just started moaning. So we didn’t know what to do. So we stood there for like a min. than we just walked away. The lady picked it up a couple of mins later. It wasn’t funny but it was at the same time. Sorry for those who are reading this and like dogs. Well moving on. Talking about moving we are going to be moving out of the Robarge’s on the 16th of May. That will be nice. Anther thing that happened this week is that we had zone conference. It was good I can’t remember what we talked about be it was good. On Saturday we went to both the Liberty jail and the Independence visitor center with Cathy and her friends. It was a lot of fun. But it was a lot to take in all at once. But she said she liked it. Than on Sunday it was anther long day of church. In the 2nd ward it was Ward Conference. It was good. The stake pre did a good job of getting the members pumped to do missionary work. So it was a good week. Well I can’t think of any thing else to write about so I will talk to you all later. I love you and miss you all.

Hello family. How are all of you? You were good yesterday when I talked to you so I hope that nothing has changed. Well I don’t have a lot to talk about because I talk to you all yesterday. One thing that is happening is it is raining super hard out side right now. It is crazy. We walked from car to the library and got sooo wet. Well for those who don’t know what’s going on we are still working with a lot of the same people. Jennifer Green said that she will set a date to get baptized so that is sweet. Than we hope that we can go to the Independencevisitor center with Sean. So we hope we can get that big boy to cry. So he will feel the spirit. We’ll see how that goes. That’s about it for now. Sorry it’s so short. But I love you all and miss you all.

Hello family. How are you all? I’m doing sweet. This week was a little slow because Elder Call wasn’t feeling good. So we didn’t get as much done as we could have. But it was still a good week. So transfers just happened and I stayed here with Elder Call. I think that is a good thing. I we get a lot done here. So that is sweet. So on Tuesday we taught Jennifer Green. She is our new investigator. So she pretty much taught us the 2nd lesson. And read to 2 Nephi 28. That was crazy. But she didn’t come to church this week. So we don’t know what happened. So the family that is her fellowship is trying to get a hold of her to see what happened. We hope that some one didn’t say something to her that turned her away from the truth. So we’ll see if we can fix it if it needs a fixin. We helped a couple move back in to one of our wards this week. They where on a mission in my mission. So they said they would help with missionary work if we asked them. So that will be sweet. But on Saturday we did a lot of service. It was a long day of service. First we helped a young man with his eagle project. It was leveling out tombstones. Who knew that those things are soooo heavy and that they don’t have anything holding them together. They just use there weight to hold them self’s together. We knocked over one or two. Only 2 people got hurt. One fell over and scraped someone and one fell over and pined them to the ground. The one who got pined to the ground was the one who was hurt the most. But he was fine. You thought I was going to stay it was me didn’t you? LOL. Than after we got that done we helped this guy move a big pile of dirt. That wasn’t that bad. Than we went home and the members we live with were doing yard work so we helped with that too. Than we helped there grandchild learn how to crawl. That was fun. It was my idea that got him to crawl. We used our cell phone and got him to go to it. I’m so smart. For mothers day we are going to call at the end of the day because we have church all day. So we are going to call around 6 or 7pmour time. So that’s 4 or 5pm your time. Well I can’t think of any thing else to write about so I will talk to you all later. I love you all and miss you all so much.

Subject: are you talking? shut up richard.

Hello family. How are all of you? I’m doing good. We had a very good week this week. On Tuesday I ate so much food that I thought I would die. We went to the Matina’s house for dinner. They are a Samoan family. And they know how to cook and how to eat. Sister Matina made the best cup cakes I have ever had. They were soooo good. Than when we were done with dinner this other lady in the ward asked us to come over to have desserts. And I mean dessertsssss. She had like 10 different things to eat. So I didn’t have that much room for any more food. In thought I was going to die. We taught Sean again. He shows no feelings when we are teaching him. We can’t read him at all. The only way we find out how he feels is from the girl he likes that is a member. So we hope that we can take him to the visitor center in Independence. There he can watch the Joseph Smith movie and if he doesn’t feel something there he is dead. The family that we teaching him with say he shows a little more feelings when we leave. I don’t know what that means. Than the next day we taught this family that have been LA for ever and we finally got them to come to church for the last 4 weeks. So we think we got them to stay active now. But for the best part of the week we have a new investigator. Her name is Jennifer Green. it wasone of the funniest ways to find some one. So the story goes. I was on exchange with my DL and we were walking home. Then this lady pulls up and says “I know that this is part of your mission but would it be Ok if I gave you guys a ride. I watched the PBS thing on the Mormons?” than I said “is there an adult male in the car?” she replied “No but you guys can sit in the back seat and I even have a jacket to cover my legs.” She was wearing short shorts. So we that told her that we still couldn’t ride with her. So we gave her a card and she took it. Than we got a HQ referral for a lady who wanted Book of Mormon. So we go to see her and she opened the door and scared the carp out of Elder Call. Because she opened it before we got to it. We sat there and talked to her for 2 hours. She had taken the card and went the website and found so much info it was crazy. Than she came to church with her daughter. Who by the way is so flirty. She made comments and was sad that church was only 3 hours long. Elder Call and I both had to talk in church yesterday so we couldn’t sit with her for sacrament. But we had her sit with this sweet family in the ward and they just clicked. It was sweet. We are going to be teaching her again this Tuesday. She will be baptized soon! And for other things that happened this week the Horrocks baptized there oldest son and they asked me to come. So I got to go to that. Than there was a stake play that we got to go to. It was goofy but it was very good. It was the first lesson in a play form. Well that was about my week and I can’t think of anything else to write about so I will talk to you all later. I love you all and miss you all.

Subject: Marriage that blessful arrangement.

that dream within a dream.

Hello family! How are you all? I’m doing so well. We just had a baptism yesterday for Kayla and it was a good one. She had her brother baptize her and her dad confirmed her. We had the baptism at 8 in the morning so she could be confirmed in sacrament meeting. Elder Call and I got to stand in the circle. It’s a good thing that we didn’t baptize her because it means she has a good fellowship in the ward. She had so many people come to her baptism too. This is a good ward. Anther thing that happened yesterday was that we went to the president’s fireside. They hold it every 2 weeks. At liberty jail or the independence visitor centers. This one was at liberty jail and we went with the Tappens. That’s Kayla’s family. We asked Kayla if she wanted to bear her testimony at it and she said she would. And she did a good job for the 1st time doing that. After she bore her testimony president and sister Van Koman gave a talk. It was a good. After the fireside we went on a tour of the jail. It had been a while seen I saw it so it was nice to see it again. Oh one more thing that happened yesterday was that I had to give a 10 min. talk with no notice. That was fun. I thought it was good. I have given better. So some thing funny that happened this week was that last Sunday the bishop of the 1st ward asked us to come over to his house and share a message. So the day come that we are to go over to his house and we get there and we remember that his daughter just got home from her mission that day. So we thought it was weird that he would have us come over on that day. But we knocked and they let us in. they were having dinner and asked us to join them. Than we share a quick lesson and after the bishop asked us a Question. He said “So Elder what inspired you to come over today?” and we looked at him and said “You asked us to come over.” Then he looked so surprised. Than he was like I’m so sorry that I forgot. But it was just funny. So that’s all that I can’t think about for the week but it was a good week. So I have just given up on getting a package. I’ll be home be for I get the one you have been trying to send me for the last 4 weeks. I hope I get it soon. Mom sorry that I didn’t send you a letter last week I have been super busy. I should get you one this week. Well I can’t think of any thing else to write about so I will talk to you all later. I love you and miss you all.

Subject: hey do you like my new dress? what

ever helps take the focus off your head!

Hello family! How are all of you? I’m good. We had a good week. Things have slowed down this week. But week did get Kayla to say that she will get baptized. So that is sweet. It took a little bit of time but we finally get her ready. She will be baptized on the 18th. It will be at 8am that way she can be confirmed in sacrament meeting. We thought that we were going to have to push it back because she had done something in the past and we thought the President would have to interview her. But we talk to him and he said that it would be ok. So it’s all good. We had a lot of our app cancel on us this week. It was hard to get people to keep. It was mainly our investigators. But we did get to teach them they all just canceled a lot before we got to. We are teaching this lady named Cathy and she is in her 40’s. She has been an investigator for a while but I just got to teach her this week. She is ready for baptism but she has this guy that she is living with and he has this really bad illness and he can’t pay for the pills he needs if they get married and she won’t kick him out because of it. The bishop and her found a way to get around it to make it work. So Cathy is letting her boyfriend make the choice. And he is against the church so he doesn’t like the whole thing anyway so. She will get baptized we just don’t know when. So we hope that the BF isn’t a piece of crap and holds the whole thing up. So we will see how that goes. We didn’t get to teach Sean thing week but we will teach him soon. He right now isn’t looking for the true. He is more looking into the Petty’s daughter. But we hope we can get the light to turn now. Than we have Kelvin he has been meeting with the missionaries for like 8 months and Elder Call taught him the first lesson like 2 months ago. So the other Elders that were here didn’t get much done. Elder Call and I have been going through the area books and have been cleaning them out. All of the info is so old it’s not all that good. So we are trying to get it all in order. So the Horrocks asked me to come to their son’s baptism. So I hope that I can go. That would be fun. So there is this guy we saw like 3 weeks ago and his girlfriend just left him. So he was drinking himself to death. We talked to him for a little while to see if we could help him. So we didn’t see him until this week and he was a totally different person. It was crazy. He was happy and his hair was cut and he was almost sober. But we hope we can help him more. Oh and his name is Reco. Well I can’t think of any thing more to talk about so I will talk to you all later. I love you all and miss you all.
